M. Schleifer has been engaged exclusively in the practice of

since 1979, practicing primarily in Cook and DuPage counties.

authored legislation and implemented laws on custody, child support, paternity, domestic violence, and adoption law. She has been a frequent
presenter at programs for law schools, legal organizations, community
groups, radio and tv -- including the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Andy
is a recognized leader in the legal community: past president of the
Decalogue Society of Lawyers, Governor of the Illinois State Bar
Association; past member of the Family Law Section Council and
Children's Law Section Council, and chair of the Committee on Sexual
Orientation and Gender Identity, and General Practice Section Council.
Andy is a Commisioner and Vice-Chair of the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission.
